Board the train at 18.50 from Brighton railway station, been buzzing with anticipation since the last CSC do, been trying to concentrate at work during the day but found it hard, tunes & memories flashing around in my head from my last visit.
Arrive for the ritual pre drink in the Boston arms located beneath the Dome, meet up with loads of other Soulies, exchanging tales of what we've all been up to, dos attended, records bought, can't believe that tunes going for a
ton now!, you should have come to this do i went to the other day, it was fantastic, didn't he play a fantastic set!
Up the hallowed stairs to the venue, walk in & the sweet sound of soul is blasting out, this is it, this is what i've been waiting for all week. The atmosphere is electric, all the faces are there, the Mods suited & booted, some Skins turned out immaculately as usual & all the Soulies looking confidentally sussed.
A Cat from behind the decks pulls out the perfect gem, the Soulies throw themselves onto the floor & glide perfectly in time to the Detroit sound. I myself am lucky enough to be one of the chosen few & find myself a nice
little spot on the floor, I'm facing the huge Capitol Soul Club banner with a big smile on my face knowing i'm part of the Soul revolution.
The rest of the night flies by far too quickly & before i know it i'm dancing to the final anthem & off back home to Brighton with my Soul fully restored & already looking forward to the next great soul nights ahead.
